This establishment deserves to be Michelin rated - it is that simple. There is not a single aspect which is not as close to perfection as possible with such a people focused business - including service for children. The grounds are gorgeous with perfect green manicured lawns surrounding it. The children's playground is excellent, with many activities. The interior is traditional German, which still manages to be spacious, bright, inviting, spotless and perfectly maintained. The service is truly family generational, where the owner will greet the customers at the table and inquire as to satisfaction. As to the food, it truly was perfect. The asparagus is in season, and they prepared a butter soft white asparagus which also managed to maintain the integrity of the texture so it was not squishy. The jägerschnitzel was perfect, accompanied by the best cooked mushrooms I recall eating. The potatoes of all type were an artful perfection - with the bratkartoffeln not too greasy or heavy. The prices were incredibly reasonable considering the quality, portions and service. What I say to such an establishment is simple: thank you. Places like this make life worth living.

We found out about this great restaurant online and ate the 3-course menu there on two evenings. First-class food, very attentive, friendly and approachable service and all at more than reasonable prices. The dishes were freshly prepared, cooked to perfection and presented with attention to detail. We enjoyed it excellently. Thank you for the two great evenings. We celebrated our wedding in the Westerwieder Bauerstuben. Everything was just right, from discussing the menu, the rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself. We were treated kindly the entire time and every little request we had was taken into account. Our wedding guests gave us feedback that the food, service and ambience were terrific.
